I think you're definitely onto something, Colin! The layoff between the end of the regular season and the first round was about three weeks, which is a big layoff. Add in the fact that it was generally a week and a half between rounds and you get a playoff that's taking too long and not on a typical schedule. I'd wager that definitely played a part in the lower ratings.
