"They have four wins against then-ranked teams, but all four of South Carolina, LSU, Missouri and Tennessee have fallen from the rankings."

If UT is no longer ranked *because* they lost to Vandy, why are we diminishing the win because they won? This is headache-inducing logic. They soundly beat a rival that's dominated them for decades, while both teams were ranked, on the road. And now we're going to discount the value of that win because UT isn't ranked anymore?

It was an impressive win for Vandy, don't get me wrong. Especially with how they absolutely took over the second half and shut down anything Tennessee tried.

But I was never on the Tennessee train. I didn't have them ranked heading into that game. Probably should've delineated better that it was AP rankings, but I don't see a lot in this Tennessee team that I like.

Yes, Vandy should get credit for their win over Tennessee. But, if we're comparing resumes among similar teams, to me the Tennessee win doesn't move the needle much for Vanderbilt. Probably because I don't value Tennessee as that quality of a team this year, but that's just my thoughts.
