You're the man my friend. I see you're good at more than just arguing about Arizona State.

This was a fascinating read, breaking down things a lot of people don't care to see when they read something that some political figure said. You are absolutely correct that the people that are looking to 'save women's sports' seem to want to do so without providing any equality at all. I'm not really interested in treating each sex equally, but I am interested in treating each human equally, which in the case you brought up of a school with approximately 260 males, 170 females, and $20.5M available to spend, this would be $47674 each. The issue of that being $12.4M to the males and $8.1M to the females doesn't bother me at all in a situation like this, where there are more males, and therefore more money is needed to cover them. If the distribution of athletes changes, the distribution of money will change.

The real issue here is that of lying politicians. I don't know why they feel the need to do this. They could probably just tell the truth about what they're doing, and they wouldn't lose very much, given the political climate of the moment. Nevertheless, they insist on pretending that they're doing something good. I'm not even American. I don't know the names of anybody you said there, but it's not exactly a glowing representation of political culture in America that they will just lie so brazenly about something that's not even that important in the grand scheme of things.

If they will so lie so transparently about womens' sports, what else will they lie about that's more important than sports are? It's an intimidating question to ask.

I try to be a multifaced guy, my friend! Lol.

More seriously, this is a very nuanced issue. There isn't going to be a one size fits all answer for all the schools because it's different across all institutions. Title IX does have separations of equitable and equal benefits, so I think an idea like you've laid out where the House revenue sharing payments have to line up with participation with a small margin for error is a fair place to settle.

And you're right, the hypocrisy is the largest issue here. I guess it goes to show you need to look into what exactly people are doing than just what they're saying.

So fucking hilarious that you men are telling women about women’s sports. Stay in your lane. You’re not affected so you have no say. Of course you would side with bullying men trying to steal and cheat and take what belongs to women for themselves. Such a typical male response. You’re all for human rights but what everyone forgets is women are human too and WE HAVE RIGHTS

There are MANY more examples. You’re wrong. Intersex is a sex disorder but the person is either male or female, usually male. Why should men be allowed to invade our spaces sports locker rooms? When women speak up they’re told to shut up and are intimidated and bullied by trans activists. They just want us to shut up and sit down aside so they can come in and take over. We don’t need to explain to these men why we want our own spaces WE JUST DO. Let them start their own sports, fight for their own bathrooms instead of stealing ours. They are not women. Make no mistake this is a men’s movement. Any man who doesn’t take no for an answer and invades women’s spaces even though the know it makes women uncomfortable and unsafe is a PREDATOR

Based on your sources, I can tell we won't agree on this one. I would recommend, if you want to have a nuanced discussion, to find places that aren't known for peddling disinformation and "alternate facts" like the Daily Mail and Heritage Foundation are. Maybe some non-partisan sources like the Associated Press or NPR could be of use.

As for your claims on intersex folks, that is factually incorrect. Intersex individuals are born with variations in their sex characteristics that don't fit the binary. By definition, they are not men or women. They carry things like XXY chromosomes and have hormonal balances that aren't fitting the binary.

I'm not sure how this is a men-driven movement or how I am a misogynist for holding the belief that women athletes should be fairly compensated. Especially when politicians are claiming they're "defending women" while increasing the inequality across the board.

So, why don't we stop with he strawman arguments and get to the issue in the post. How do you feel about women's sports losing around $8 million of athlete compensation? And how does allowing that to happen mean defending women's sports?

You are an absolute misogynist. There are many examples of women losing out to men in regards to medals and places. There are many examples of women being physically hurt by males and many many examples of these predators changing with the girls. You just don’t want to look to deep because you will see how absolutely unfair to women this is but you’re so brainwashed you wouldnt believe it anyway

Do you have examples of this? Even in the lawsuits and challenges to participation of transgender athletes in NCAA-sponsored athletics, which is what I know best, there are no allegations of unsafe environments or any issues. They simply revolve around whether or not the athlete should be eligible to participate, which is another issue.

Participation eligibility is a concern, don't get me wrong, but looking at it as a binary based on two biological sexes is inaccurate. Sex, like gender, is not contained by two categories. Intersex individuals like Caster Semenya, exist. Folks transitioning can undergo hormonal treatment that balances out biological imbalances between men and women. It's a concern, but not the concern right now. And painting it with a broad stroke is ingenious and unfair to those affected.
